Pastor Dominic Watkins, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, where he spent many of his adolescent and adult years, is married to Tampa, Florida native, the love of his life and best friend, the former Paula Stevens. They have 3 beautiful children, Chase, Sy’riah and Steven. Pastor Dominic was the former Assistant Pastor and member of the Shining Light Church of God in Christ (Rubonia, FL), where his father, Supt. Roosevelt Watkins is the Pastor.

 

Pastor Dominic begin preaching the gospel and ministering the word of God at the age of 20. Pastor Watkins is an ordained Elder in the Church of God in Christ and worked diligently within the Southwestern Florida Jurisdiction, where Bishop Mathew Williams is the Jurisdictional Prelate. Within the jurisdiction he served in several capacities and was the Vice President for the Jurisdictional Youth Department. He was also afforded the opportunity to work with the national AIM convention under the leadership of Bishop J. Drew Sheard as the assistant youth church coordinator, which he served for several years.

 

His personal ministry has afforded him numerous opportunities to Pastor (former Campus Pastor of The Experience- Tampa for 2 years), minister, and travel extensively in several cities in the Florida and Georgia area. Also in areas such as, Ohio, Michigan, California, Kentucky, Louisiana, North and South Carolina, just to name a few. In August of he founded and launched the FREEDOM CHURCH OF TAMPA, Inc. where is he is the Senior Pastor. Freedom Church has made amazing strides over the past 6 months with Pastor Watkins as the leader. Pastor Watkins is also a Mentor to Millennials and a consultant to Young Pastors locally and abroad. He prides himself on winning souls, and changing lives, to see everyone WIN!
